FAQ

What is SkeenPod™?

SkeenPod™ is a reusable, hands-free spot device that combines blue light (460nm), red light (630nm), and a hydrocolloid patch to target pimples and support the look of post-breakout marks.

How does it work?

The hydrocolloid patch helps absorb excess oil and fluid and protects the spot, while blue and red light support a calmer-looking, clearer-looking appearance.

What skin concerns is it best for?

SkeenPod™ is designed for pimples, blemishes, and post-breakout marks—especially spots that look red, irritated, or stubborn.

How long should I use it each time?

For targeted light sessions, use it for 15 minutes per session. For whiteheads or surface blemishes, many people also like to wear the hydrocolloid patch for several hours or overnight for better absorption.

How often can I use it?

You can use SkeenPod™ daily. Consistent use is key for best-looking results.

When will I see results?

Some people notice a calmer-looking spot quickly, but results vary. For more noticeable improvement in the look of marks and uneven tone, consistent daily use over time works best.

Can I use it on post-acne marks or scars?

SkeenPod™ can help improve the appearance of post-breakout marks and uneven tone. For true scar texture, results vary depending on the type and depth of scarring.

Is it safe for sensitive skin?

SkeenPod™ is designed to be gentle and non-invasive. If you have very sensitive skin, start with shorter use and monitor how your skin responds.

Is it safe for dark skin tones?

LED light therapy is widely used across skin tones. If you’re prone to hyperpigmentation or melasma, start slowly, avoid any heat/irritation, and use daily sunscreen. If you have doubts, or if you notice persistent or worsening dark spots, check with your dermatologist.

Can I use it with skincare products?

Yes. Use SkeenPod™ on clean, dry skin. After your session, remove it and apply your skincare as usual (moisturizer is a great next step).

Can I wear makeup over it?

SkeenPod™ is meant to be used on clean skin. After you remove it, you can continue your routine and apply makeup if you want.

Can I use it on cystic or deep pimples?

It may help support a calmer-looking appearance, but deep, painful breakouts can take longer and may need a different approach. If you’re unsure whether a spot is cystic, or if it’s painful, persistent, or getting worse, it’s best to check with a dermatologist.

Can I use it on multiple spots?

Yes—use one spot at a time, or use multiple units if you want to treat more than one spot at once.

Is SkeenPod™ reusable?

Yes, the pod is reusable. The hydrocolloid patches are single-use and should be replaced each time.

How do I clean it?

Wipe the pod gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not soak it. Make sure it’s dry before your next use.
